Jeremiah Pope

Position: Co-owner & Sports Performance Coach

Certification: Personal Trainer, Group Trainer, First Aid, CPR, and AED

 

Jeremiah Pope has a very extensive backround and knowledge in sports; particularly in Football and Track and Field. in 1999, he held the fastest 100m time on Long Island at 10.46s. After graduating Sewanhaka HS he went on to continue his education and success at sports with a full scholarship to CW Post. He ran track and played football for 4 years. In 2003 he was named the Northeast 10 football conference’s Offensive Player of the Year along with numerous All-conference  awards. He is currently the school’s all-time leading wide receiver. In September 2011 he was inducted into the CW Post Football Hall of Fame.

 

After graduating with a Broadcasting degree, Pope had the opportunity to start a professional football career in the NFL, where he played with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004. From there he went on to play in the Arena Football League in 2005 and played for 4 years with numerous teams. The Albany Conquest, Arizona Rattlers, Orlando Predators, New York Dragons, and New Orleans Voodoo.

 

Currently Pope is the Co-owner of Port Fitness Studio and also the Port Washington Varsity Girls Track and Field coach. He very well respected not only in our own community, but also in the Port Washington-Manhasset communities.  He loves getting involved in the community events and youth leagues such as Spring Fling, Relay for Life, PAL flag football, and soon to come Pal Track and Field.
